PowerOverEthernet.com was set up because of the lack of coherent information on IEEE802.3af and we then decided to produce a portal of all things 'Power Over Ethernet'. The growth of the market has proved our observations to be correct and now there are many companies who use POE technology in their products. The website continued to grow and now includes the next generation higher power version which has been proposed but not yet ratified.
