"Seeing all test results at once saves time and improves technician accuracy. That allows us to deliver high quality installations at a lower cost to our clients, " said Kevin Kolinac, owner of Communications Facilities & Design, Los Angeles, CA.
The new MicroScanner2 also recognizes and displays what types of services are available at the outlet being tested, such 10/100/1000 Ethernet, POTS telephone service, or Power over Ethernet (PoE). This allows cabling technicians to quickly differentiate between cabling and service problems during installation or troubleshooting.
"We're installing more and more wireless access points powered by PoE. MicroScanner2 will help us verify the both the cabling and the PoE service to the AP all at once," continued Kolinac.
No need for awkward, inefficient adapters Users of the new MicroScanner2 can verify and ID tag RJ11, RJ45, and coax cables without adapters. MicroScanner2 is also a built-in tone generator, producing both analog and digital tones compatible with Fluke Networks' IntelliTone Pro Probe. This permits precise identification of specific wire pairs and cables on active networks.
