A small Option Module adds PoE+ to the SBC’s on-board Gb Ethernet port. The Cinnamon Bay SBC line is well suited for OEMs looking to create PoE+ powered embedded systems using the latest low-power, high-performance embedded Intel Atom CPU. Up to 20 Watts of spare power are available, allowing easy creation of complete PoE+ powered embedded systems including backlit video displays, touchscreens, cameras, Wi-Fi and cellular radios, video encoders, mass storage, and a wide range of other peripherals and expansion daughtercards.

Cinnamon Bay SBC measures a mere 88x110mm, and is available in three SKUs targeted to a wide range of deeply embedded applications such as industrial controls, digital signage, interactive kiosks, general-purpose embedded computing, IP media display and processing, military, medical, gaming, and point of sale (PoS) terminals. ADI offers a -40C to +85C extended temperature range SKU of Cinnamon Bay SBC to meet the rigorous demands of harsh industrial, military, automotive and outdoor applications.

Cinnamon Bay SBC can be used standalone in many applications, since common interfaces and connectors are included on the single board. When expansion is required, application-specific daughtercards can be added quickly and easily to meet unique requirements for HD or SD video, audio, networking, and other features.

Thanks to the new Intel Atom Z5xxP processor platform, Cinnamon Bay SBC achieves lower price points than embedded SBCs based on the earlier Intel® Atom™ Z500 processor, while adding new features such as extended temperature operation. 1ku direct OEM pricing is $199 for the A510P, $285 for the A530P, and $299 for the extended temperature A520PT. The board is available in low volumes up to 1ku from Avnet.
